This photograph shows the basic equipment used to float horses' teeth. Top right shows a full mouth speculum with normal plates fitted, bar plates in the middle and pony plates in front. A variety of long handled floats of different lengths with different head angles are shown, also large and small S floats, dental pick, dose syringe, dental forceps, torch and bucket. There are many other items of equipment which can be used for equine dentistry including motorised equipment.
